My coworker went to Africa as Overseas Cooperation Volunteer for JICA in this year. She was dispatched as an educator to help medical treatment of Africa. I respect her, too.
I can't do big project like them, but I usually think that I'd like to help someone by my work in Japan. Any task will become helpful someone. I read a this book and I thought I wanted to try harder my job again.
There are lots of small things you can do to help people in the area of education, like donate money or books. I think everyone can do a little bit.
